Those applicants with both the M.D. and Ph.D. degrees who desire to apply for the Physician Scientist Training Pathway should print the supplementary application and recommendation forms which appear at the bottom of this link under THE PHYSICIAN-SCIENTIST TRACK section and submit them separately by surface mail to the following address:

Preliminary Year in Medicine for Neurology Applicants

Washington University offers a four-year Neurology training program including the necessary Internal Medicine training mandated for board certification in Neurology. If invited for an interview with the Department of Neurology, the applicant will automatically be scheduled for an interview and tour in the Department of Medicine, and a copy of the application materials will be forwarded from Neurology to Medicine. Matching to the Neurology residency at Washington University includes all 4 years of training, including the Medicine internship portion.

Applicants planning a 3-year Neurology program elsewhere are welcome to apply to the Medicine Preliminary Year at Washington University via the standard ERAS application process.
