Transportation and Lodgings

The most economical way to reach the Medical Center and hotels from Lambert-St.Louis International Airport is to take MetroLink, the local light rail system, which will drop you off at the Euclid exit on the east side of the Medical Center. The cost is $7.50 for an all day pass. Take Metro Link to the Central West End station; exit the platform up the stairs. This will put you out onto Euclid Ave. Cross to the other side of Euclid and continue left (South), to the McMillan Hospital Building entrance. Enter the building up the stairs and continue straight until you reach the marble floor. Follow the sign that shows Wohl Building/Clinic to the right. Continue to follow the Wohl Building signs (not clinic). Take elevators to 6th floor.

Several lodging options near the medical center are available and outlined below.

The Parkway Hotel, 4550 Forest Park Blvd.
(314-256-7777), is located on the Washington University Medical Center Campus and offers enclosed access to the Center for Advanced Medicine as well as the rest of the Medical campus.  It is also located less than two blocks from the Central West End MetroLink station.  A block of rooms is being held at The Parkway at a discounted rate of $98 (+tax) per night.  Be sure to ask for the "Residency" rate when making reservations to make sure you receive the special rate.

Hampton Inn & Suites, 5650 Oakland Avuenue
(1-800-Hampton) or 314-655-3993), is less than a mile away. The Hampton Inn & Suites St. Louis at Forest Park offers Washington University a rate of $105.00 plus tax a night (ask for the Washington University rate when making reservations).

Chase Park Plaza, 212-232 North Kingshighway (877-587-2427 or 314-633-3014), is within walking distance of Barnes-Jewish and offers lodging rates of $162.00 + tax per night (ask for the Washington University rate when making reservations). They have a complimentary van shuttle to Barnes-Jewish, but reservations must be made ahead of time.
