Forum for Women in Medicine

Collaborative Opportunities

During the academic year, we will host several events focusing on areas important to the women trainees at Washington University School of Medicine. The tentative event calendar is listed below.

Our mission is to provide skill sets for the professional development of women trainees in

the Department of Medicine.

We will provide opportunities throughout the academic year to discuss women's issues and challenges in a supportive environment in order to empower women in both their professional and personal lives.

The Forum for Women in Medicine was created in 2014 to support the professional and personal development of the women trainees in the Department of Medicine.  FWIM will host workshops, lectures, and networking events throughout the academic year to provide career development guidance, facilitate mentoring opportunities and foster a sense of camaraderie within the women in the training program.  I hope that through these informative events, we will cultivate an academic culture that empowers women trainees now and in the years to come.
